Buttermilk is a self-initiated project, a hand care brand I conceived, named, and designed from scratch. I wanted to challenge myself with a beauty brief, specifically the tension between two things that do not always sit easily together: clean and colourful.

Most clean beauty brands play it safe with minimal palettes and quiet typography. Buttermilk goes the other way. The brand is crisp and considered, but alive with colour, designed to feel as good on a bathroom shelf as it does in your hand.

From brand identity to packaging, every decision was made with that balance in mind. Buttermilk is proof that restraint and vibrancy are not opposites.
